S1 Steel Wheelchair (Issued 2021-08 rev1)

introduction

The S1 steel wheelchairs are intended to assist the transport of users
with mobility difficulties. These wheelchairs are designed for occasional
or frequent use, and can be used indoors and outdoors, but should not
be used on rough terrain. Over-loading the wheelchairs is the only
known contraindication, although others may be specific to an individual
or care environment.
The wheelchair can be manually moved forward and in reverse. The
wheelchair is available as either a transit model, or a mag wheel self
propel model to be operated by the wheelchair user. The wheelchair
has a steel frame which can support users of up to 115 kg (18 stone).
