If only recirculating solvent will be used in the machine, put all
the hoses for each washing compartment into the same drum
(Illustration 9).
Operating instructions
Operating instructions should be formulated on the basis of
this manual and translated into the language spoken by the
employees. It should always be available close to the machine.
To avoid confusion, the employees must be informed about
the solvent currently being used in the machine.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Empty the spray-gun of any residual paint into a separate
spills-dish.
Automatic (Left-hand side):
Open the main valve for compressed air (item 8 illustration 1).
Open the lid, and place the spray-gun inside (illustration 10,
11 and 12). Be sure to fi t the trigger clip (Illustration 13) and
connect the air line (item 1 illustration 10). Gravity-fed spray-
guns also require an extension pipe (item 2 illustration 10).
For the gravity-fed spray-gun, you always get the best cleaning
result if the spray-gun is dismantled and placed in the washing
compartment as seen in illustration 10.
The air line (item 1 illustration 10) prevents solvent from enter-
ing the spray-gun’s air channels during washing. This air line
should be equipped with a conical plug that fi ts into the spray-
gun’s air inlet (illustration 14).
Close the lid, and start the automatic pre-wash cycle by turn-
ing the Timer knob (item 9 illustration 1). The spray-gun will
now be automatically cleaned for 1 to approx. 4 minutes with
circulating solvent.
When the cleaning procedure is completed, the lid can be
opened and the spray-gun taken out. It can now be manually
rinsed with clean solvent if required. As long as the valve (item
10 illustration 1) is turned on, a jet of clean solvent will be
sprayed from the nozzle under the lid.
Finally, it is possible to blow out the spray-gun. Connect the
spray-gun to the air line on the left side of the machine (item 5
illustration 1), and blow out the spray-gun through the funnel
under the lid. By using this funnel, you prevent the fumes from
spreading within the premises.
Close the lid after cleaning.
Manual (Right-hand side):
Open the main valve for compressed air (item 8 illustration 1).
First clean the spray-gun with the cleaning brush (item 1
illustration 16). As long as the valve (item 11 illustration 1)
is turned on, recirculating solvent will be pumped through the
cleaning brush.
Next, use the hand-held spray nozzle (item 2 illustration 16) to
rinse with clean solvent if required. As long as the valve (item
12 illustration 1) is turned on, a jet of clean solvent will be
sprayed from the hand-held nozzle.
Finally, all of the spray-gun’s channels can be blown out with
the air-gun on the right side of the unit (item 6 illustration 1),
which can also be used to dry the spray-gun.
SAFETY VALVE
The unit is equipped with a safety valve that will interrupt the
automatic pre-wash cycle if the lid is opened before the cycle
is completed. To resume the interrupted cycle, the lid and the
unit’s main valve (item 8 illustration 1) must be closed. When
you hear the safety valve ‘click’, the main valve can be opened
again.
To speed this process up, open the valve to activate the spray
nozzle (item 10 illustration 1) and close it when you hear the
safety valve ‘click’.
SERVICE
Weekly:
– Loosen the centre bolt holding the spray-cradle and remove
it.
– Clean the washing compartment’s working platform (per-
forated pressing) and the bottom of the washing compart-
ment.
– Reassemble the parts.
– Clean the manual washing compartment and working
platform.
Monthly:
– Remove the fi ve nozzles automatic washer and clean them
with clean solvent. (illustration 15).
When changing drums:
– Check and if necessary clean the strainers on the suction
hoses for circulating solvent.
