Intended use
Tropic
plus
– ultrasonic nebulizer
– Used to humidify breathing air for patients who are breathing
spontaneously. The humidified air is free-flowing and directed
towards the patient.
– For aerosol therapy, sputum-dissolving substances can be
added to the nebulizer.
Environment of use
The medical device must is only to be used in clinical rooms.
Assembling accessories
Strictly observe assembly instructions and instructions for use.
Table-mounted version
Fit the pole (300 mm long) into the holder at the back of the
nebulizer and secure it in place with the locking screw.
Slide the holding-down device (to secure the lid of the nebu-
lizer chamber) and the hinged arm onto the pole and position
them as required.

tracheal cannula, or mouthpiece.
This can lead to accumulations of liquid in the respiratory
system.

Do not use the ultrasonic nebulizer without a bacterial filter.
NOTE
The air flow is only filtered adequately if a suitable bacterial filter
is used.
Replace the bacterial filter after 24 hours of operation or in
accordance with the special instructions provided by the respec-
tive filter manufacturer.
Reusable hoses must be cleaned once a day or whenever there
is a change of patient.
Disposable hoses must be replaced once a day or whenever
there is a change of patient.
CAUTION
Installation to the basic device must be in accordance with the
instructions for use of the basic device on which this medical
device is used. Make sure that the connection to the basic
device system is secure.
