Replacing the Caster Wheel
Tools Needed:
Pliers
1.
Remove the Cotter Pin with Pliers and remove the Caster Wheel Assembly
(
Figure 30
).
1.
Install the new Wheel Assembly and Spacers.
2.
Secure with the Cotter Pin.
Replacing the Tracking Wheel
Tools and Supplies Needed:
Jack Stand
1-1/16" Wrench
1-1/8" Wrench
1.
Support the Trimmer with a Jack Stand to lift the Tracking Wheel off the
Ground (
Figure 31
).
2.
Remove the Bolt and Locknut with a 1-1/16" Wrench on the Locknut and a 1-
1/8" Wrench on the Bolt (adjustable wrenches can be used if needed).
3.
Two Spacers will come off with the Wheel.
4.
Install the new Wheel, with a Spacer on each side of the Wheel, into the
Tracking Wheel Support.
5.
Secure with the Bolt and Locknut using a 1-1/16" Wrench and a 1-1/8"
Wrench but Do not over tighten because the Wheel will not rotate properly.
Check the Tire Pressure (Caster and Tracking Wheels)
Tools Needed:
Tire Pressure Gauge
Air Compressor
1.
Remove the Valve Stem Protective Cap (
Figure 32 and 33
) and check the tire
pressure with a Tire Pressure Gauge.
2.
Check what the manufacturers recommended pressure is that is stamped on
the side of the Tire.
3.
If the pressure reading is too low, add air through the Valve Stem with an air
hose.
4.
Replace the Valve Stem Protective Cap when finished.

Do not over inflate the tires. Inflate to the manufacturers recommended
pressure found on the tires.
