Lubrication
Conveyor Bearings
Conveyor bearing lubrication is required. Dorner
recommends using an H-1 food grade grease.
1. Add grease to the bearing using the zerk fitting
on the exterior of the bearing
housing.

2. Replace the bearings if they become worn.
Maintaining the Conveyor Belt
Troubleshooting
Inspect conveyor belt for:
• Surface cuts or wear
Damage to the belt, surface cuts and/or wear indicates:
• Sharp or heavy parts impacting belt
• Jammed parts
• Accumulated dirt
• Foreign material inside the conveyor
• Improperly positioned accessories
• Excessive load on belt
• Dirt impacted on spindle
• Excessive or improper side loading
• Improper tracking
Skipping indicates:
• Excessive load on belt
• Worn spindle or impacted dirt on drive spindle
• Improper tracking
• Worn limiter
NOTE
Proper conveyor application, cleaning, and
sanitation are the responsibility of the end user.
CAUTION
Dorner recommends cleaning all the “food
zones” prior to placing conveyor into
service. Ensure adequate access is provided
for cleaning and servicing equipment so that
the required level of hygiene can be
maintained.
WARNING
SEVERE HAZARD!
LOCK OUT POWER before removing guards
or performing maintenance. Exposed moving
parts can cause serious injury.
NOTE
Although bearings are sealed, re-greasing is
recommended to increase bearing life. An
H-1 food grade grease is recommended. The
frequency of bearing re-greasing is
dependent upon the application in which the
conveyor is being used. Frequency of re-
greasing will increase with the frequency of
conveyor washing.
