5 Maintenance and care
5.1 Maintaining the door hinges
Check fittings at regular intervals for proper
positioning, smooth operation and check the door for
correct adjustment. High-usage door systems require
inspection by properly qualified staff (specialized
companies or installation firms). To ensure that
the STUDIO Rondo glass/glass hinges for special
rebate depths have a long lifespan free of defects,
dormakaba recommends annual maintenance by
qualified personnel. If 200,000 operating cycles are
reached in less than a year, the maintenance should
be brought forward.
Check glass door panels for flaking and/or
conchoidal fractures. Replace damaged glass panels
immediately.
5.2 Cleaning surfaces
The surfaces of fittings are not maintenance-free
and need to be cleaned and cared for using the
appropriate materials:
• Only use non-abrasive cleaning substances for
metallic surfaces (anodized finishes, stainless steel).
• Only use solvent-free cleaners for painted surfaces.
• Brass finishes (without surface protector) need to
be treated with suitable care products from time to
time to prevent tarnishing.
6 Disassembly and disposal
Disassembly is the same procedure in reverse and
must be carried out by qualified personnel.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally
friendly manner.
