IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
1. Read all instructions carefully.
2. Do not immerse cord, plug, or unit in water or any other liquid.
3. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting
on or taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance.
4. To disconnect, turn all controls to OFF, then remove plug from wall outlet.
5. Do not operate any appliance with damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance

6. Close supervision is necessary when appliance is being used near children. Not

7. Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs.

9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces, including

stove.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
12. Always use appliance on a dry, smooth fl at surface
13. Do not use abrasive agents when cleaning the appliance.
14. Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use.
15. Do not leave your panini grill unattended while in use.
16. When using the appliance, be sure to allow at lease 4 inches (10 cm) of space on
all sides of the unit to allow for adequate air circulation. Never place anything on top
of the unit.
17. To ensure continued protection against the risk of electric shock, connect to
properly
grounded outlets only.

POWER CORD
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from
entanglement or tripping over a long cord.
An extension cord may be used with care; however, be sure the marked electrical
rating is equal to or greater than the rating of this appliance. The extension cord should
be positioned such that it does not drape over the counter or tabletop where it can be
pulled on by children or tripped over. Use only 3-wire extension cord with 3-blade
grounding plug. The electrical rating of this appliance is listed on the
bottom panel of the unit.
