The MPP solar charger has the following protective mechanisms:
• High voltage and low voltage protection
• Deep discharge and overcharge protection
• High temperature protection
• Low temperature protection
• Protection against short circuit
• Protection against reverse polarity connected solar modules and loads
• Reverse polarity protection for the house battery
• Battery overcharge protection
• Reverse current protection
• Built-in temperature controlled cooling fan (only MT MPP 260, MT MPP 440)
The MPP solar charger can be adapted to different battery types via DIP switches (chapter “Setting
the charging program” on page 22).
The temperature sensor monitors the battery temperature during the charging process to control
and adjust the charging voltage accordingly (chapter “Temperature sensor” on page 19).
