CALCULATING MAXIMUM ROTOR SPEED
Each rotor is designed to stand large centrifugal forces. Nevertheless there is large safety
factor for each type of rotor, user must obey following instructions and limits. In other case is self
responsible for possible errors or damage. Security functions and elements build in device are
expected only for normal use.
Maximum speed for each type of rotor is marked on top side of the rotor. Speed is
calculated for examples with maximum density of 1,2 gram / cm
3
. If there is need to centrifuge high
density examples, maximum speed must be reduced by following equitation:
M = (1.2 * n2 / S)1/2
M = Reduced maximum speed
n = Maximum rotor speed for examples with 1,2 g / cm
3
