Test 6 Load and Extrude Filament: 

To feed in new filament, follow the steps below: 

•

 

Heat the hotend to 

the correct 
temperature range 

for your plastic.  

•

 

Turn the motors off 
by clicking the 

‘motors off’

 button in 

Repetier-Host. 

 

•

 

Take the beginning 

of your chosen 
filament and cut off 

the end to create a 

straight starting 
point. 

 

 

•

 

If you are changing 

filament begin by 

turning the gear in 
the direction shown 

to retract the 

filament from the hot 
nozzle.  

 

•

 

Open the filament 
idler cam gear.
