Operating Instructions
Tilt Operation
The seat tilt angle can be adjusted from 0 to -35 degrees. In order to tilt the chair:
• Locate the tilt mechanism handle. The handle is located at the rear of the chair, on the right push
bar, marked with a “TILT” label
(Figure 3).
• Squeeze the handle and tilt the chair back or forward to the desired angle.
• When the desired angle has been achieved, release the handle to lock the position in place.
• Ensure the legrest is extended, and to the desired comfort level.

WARNING:
The caregiver should use and familiarize himself or herself with the handle
mechanism prior to operating the chair.

WARNING:
The caregiver should assess the user’s abilities, weight and physical condition to
determine the sufficient degree of tilt. An improper tilt degree could result in a tipping of the chair
and/or the user sliding or falling off the chair.

WARNING:
The gas cylinders must be operational before using the chair. Do not operate the tilt
mechanism if the gas cylinders are not operational.
•
WARNING:
Ensure the user’s arms and hands are inside the chair frame and clear of all pinch
points before adjusting the tilt angle.
