Maintenance

Safety Inspection Checklist

To keep your resident lift in service, follow the maintenance procedures in this manual.
Inspect the resident lift before each use. Check all bolts for tightness. Make sure the base legs can be

widened and that all components are functioning properly. Check that all casters turn freely and that the

caster brakes can be engaged. Check battery capacity.
Monthly, the lift should be thoroughly inspected by a person qualified to recognize any signs of wear

and looseness of bolts or parts. Regular cleaning is essential to smooth operation and extending the life

of the resident lift. Casters and brakes should be cleaned and lubricated, and the axle and swivel bolts

should be checked for tightness. Remove all debris from the wheel and swivel bearings. Replace worn

parts immediately. Do not use the lift if you suspect any component is damaged or worn.
