CARE AND MAINTENANCE
CLEANING:
Your unit is designed to remove dirt and other atmospheric impurities
by drawing air through the air filter. On no account should this be blocked in any
way, as this will impair the efficiency of the machine. Pushing the unit up against a
wall or operating in a very close proximity to long window drapes will impair the
airflow and efficiency.
REAR AIR FILTER:
Disconnect the machine from the power supply and remove
the rear screen. Remove the top filter fixer and then take out the honeycomb filter.
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove loose dust and dirt and replace. Be sure to refit
the honeycomb filter and rear screen securely. NEVER OPERATE THE UNIT
WITHOUT THE FILTER IN THE CORRECT POSITION.
WATER TANK:
If the unit is in regular use it is not necessary to clean the water
tank regularly. However, in hard water areas, deposits will build up and it is
recommended that cleaning with mild soapy water once every six months should
be sufficient.
1. Disconnect the appliance from mains supply.
2. Remove complete rear screen and honeycomb filter
3. Where the water tank can be reached, remove any deposits or dirt from within
the tank with a mild soapy detergent and cloth.
4. Flush with clean water and drain via the drain plug.
5. Reverse procedure and make sure the filters and rear screen are properly
fitted.
OUTSIDE CABINET:
Use warm mild soapy water and cloth. Do not use abrasive
products. Be careful to ensure the control panel does not come into contact with
water or any other liquids.
