4.3.5.5 Protocol VLAN Group Setting

To display Protocol VLAN Group Setting web page, click

Switching> VLAN> Protocol

VLAN Group Setting

The VLAN group setting sets the same type as a group and transmit it in the specific
VLAN.

Group ID(1-8) :

Enter an ID number of the group, between 1 and 8.

Group Name:

This is used to identify the new Protocol VLAN group. Type an

alphanumeric string of up to 16 characters.

Frame Type :

This function maps packets to protocol-defined VLAN by examining the

type octet within the packet header to discover the type of protocol associated with it.



Ethernet_II: packet type is Ethernet version 2.



IEEE802.3_LLC_Other: packet type is 802.3 packet with LLC other header.



RFC_1042: packet type is RFC 1042 packet.

Protocol Value (0x0600-0xFFFE):

Enter the Ether type of the target protocol.
