ASA 312 Settings
To setup the ASA 312 for DS3 Terminated calibration:
1. From the ASA 312 Touch Screen, select the DS3 Protocol Processor.
2. Press the
Receive
Function Group button.
3. Press the
Line Interface Input Termination
command and select
Terminated
.
4. Press the
Framing
command and select
Unframed
.
5. Press the
Pattern
command and select
All Ones
.
6. Press the
Trnsmt
Function Group button.
7. Press the
Signal Level
command and select
DSX-3
.
Oscilloscope Settings
Configure the oscilloscope to the following settings. Refer to the oscilloscope’s
user documentation for specific operation:
■
250 ns per horizontal division
■
AC Coupled
■
20 MHz bandwidth limited
■
0V vertical offset
■
Measuring frequency—maximum peak voltage and minimum peak voltage
■
Acquisition set to average 8 samples
