Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
Does not display any message
on the front panel.
ü
Check the main power cable and check that it is plugged into a
suitable power outlet.
ü
Check the STB main power switch ‘ON’ at the rear of the STB.
No Picture
ü See ‘Does not display any message on the front panel’ above.
ü
Check the video output port is firmly connected to the TV or
VCR.
ü Check that you have selected the Video Input on your TV.
ü Press the STB button on the remote to assure you are
controlling the STB and no other device with the remote.
ü Check the brightness level of the TV.
ü Check the resolution that your TV supports, and set the proper
resolution with the remote
Resolution button to obtain a
picture.
Poor picture quality
ü See ‘No Picture’ above.
ü
Check the signal level, if this is low then tries adjusting the
alignment of your dish.
No Sound
ü See ‘No Picture’ above.
ü Check the volume level of the TV and STB.
ü Check the Mute status of the TV and STB.
Remote Control does not
operate
ü
Point remote control directly towards the STB.
ü
Check that the STB button lights up when you press any
button
ü
Check and replace batteries.
No or Bad Signal
ü
Check the LNB ; Replace the LNB if necessary.
ü
Check the cable from the LNB.
ü
Check the position of the dish; realign dish if necessary.
ü
If you are using a DiSEqC 1.0 switch, check that you have
connected and programmed the LNBs to the correct
connections on the switch.
ü Check the ‘Signal Level’ and the ‘Signal Quality’.
