4.7 Hotkeys
Q: What are ‘Hotkeys’?
A: Say you regularly listen to small number of audio selections or albums. Also,
you don’t want the hassle of having to access and navigate through the TV-
interface every time. You just want a quick and simple way of playing music as
quickly as possible.
This is what Hotkeys were designed for. Simply assign up to 10 favourite audio
selections (albums, artists, genres or playlists) to a number on your IR remote
control.
Then it’s a simple one-touch operation in playing music, by pushing any of the
keys, 0 thru 9. You then have full audio control using the Play/Pause/Stop/Skip
buttons on your remote, removing the need for the TV-interface if you don’t
want it.
Hotkey Sub-Menu
You access the Hotkey sub-menu from within the ‘Select Audio’ sub-menu.
As you can see, the above screenshot shows several different audio selections
have been pre-assigned to various numbers on the IR remote control. We are
currently trying to assign all tracks by the artist ‘Abba’ to a key. To do this:

Use the Cursor up and down keys to highlight the desired number.

Push ‘OK’: The new album will now appear in the highlighted row.
From now on, pushing the number 5 (whilst NOT in text-entry mode) will
automatically start this selection playing in the currently selected audio zone.
