SA7x Technical Description

2.3 SA7x Fan Assembly

The SA7x fan assembly consists of an axial fan mounted in a case. The fan

assembly slides into a recess in the center portion of the frame and is secured

with four mounting screws, as shown in Figure 2–3.
Connector J1 on TB2 su12.6 Vdc to the fan. Other fan-related signals

in this connector include the fan control signal

to the fan

and the fan rotation

sensor signal

from the fan

. The fan rotation signal is processed on TB2 for fan

speed control. A fan failure signal, derived from fan rotation, is sent to the power

supply.
