Block TV Rating (Parental Guideline)
USA V-Chip Rating System
V-chip reads the program’s age-based rating. If you have blocked the rating, you will receive
a rating message on the screen while you select the blocked program.
1. Select Block TV Rating and press ENTER .
2. Use d / c and e / f select the categories to block.
Notes: The V-Chip will automatically block certain
categories that are “more restrictive”. If TV-14 category
has been blocked, then TV-MA will also be
automatically blocked.
TV P.G. Rating
TV-Y All children. None.
TV-7 Directed to children 7 years and
older. The rating of F. Violence can be blocked.
TV-G General audience. None.
TV-PG Parental guidance suggested.
TV-14 Parents strongly cautioned.
The rating of Violence (V) , Sexual
Contents (S) , Foul Language (L) and/or
Suggestive Dialog (D) can be blocked.
TV-MA Mature audience only.
The rating of Violence (V) , Sexual
Contents (S) and/or Foul Language (L)
can be blocked.
Channel Lock
Choose the channel you want blocked. This prevents viewers from watching this channel.
Change Password
To change the V-Chip settings, you need to enter the correct password to be able to access
the menu. To change the password, select
Change Password in the menu.
Clear all
Clear all block settings for MPAA, TV, Channel and Video and get back to default setting.
