GENERAL WARNINGS

- Keep the packaging elements (plastic bags, 

cardboard boxes) out of the reach of children, 

because they could pose a potential risk to them.

- Use the product only if it is undamaged and 

complete in all its parts: if any defects are present, 

contact specialised staff or the retailer.

- Do not try to repair the product yourself. Contact

- In the event of a fault, contact skilled staff or contact

- Each time you use the product, check that it is 

1.working properly, making sure the signal is being 

received correctly in the area where you intend to 

use it.

- To maintain optimal functioning of the acoustic 

alarm, make sure the speaker hole is kept clean and 

unobstructed.

- Factors that may have a negative impact on the 

performance of the product include: incomplete 

battery charge; particular environmental conditions, 

thick walls and furnishings, metal structures and 

external electromagnetic interference; rooms located 

on different floors.

- Make sure the Kid-U is kept away from the main 

sources of heat to ensure it does not become too hot. 

Do not use rechargeable batteries

- To prevent damage to the device caused by liquid 

seeping from the battery, remove the battery every 

time it runs down.

- Replace the battery when children are not present 

(because they could swallow it), and always use the 

type of batteries indicated in this manual; the 

operation must always be carried out by an adult.

- To avoid dangerous situations (fires, explosions, 

etc.), make sure the batteries are disposed of in 

compliance with the regulations in force.

- Kid-U is not designed as a substitute for vigilance 

on the part of the parents, because it is not possible 

to identify the child’s position in real time: there will 

be a delay of a few seconds in locating the child, 

depending on the various cases in which the device 

is used.

- Therefore, do not forget to keep an eye on your 

child at all times, especially in crowded places 

and/or when the position indicator is red.

- In the app, and using the customisation screen, 

users can adapt the device to their own preferences, 

by selecting the type of indication (sound/vibration) 

they prefer, as well as for the alarms and 

notifications.

- The device will revert to the default settings (sound 

and vibration ON) every time it is switched back on.

- The product is not suitable for use by children 

under the age of three

- In the event of disconnection, the device will emit an 

acoustic signal lasting 8 seconds.

- No type of signal (sound or vibration) will be heard 

if the smartphone is in silent mode.

- Before using the application, we recommend 

disconnecting and reconnecting the Bluetooth mode 

of the device in order to ensure it functions perfectly.

Description and characteristics 

2.1 How to use Kid-U

The device must be worn on the wrist like a watch.

Changing the battery

A visual signal on the App will tell the user when it is 

time to replace the battery of the device.

Remove the casing containing the electronics inside 

the bracelet (fig.1), gently open it using a small 

screwdriver (fig.2) and remove the old battery from 

the casing at the back (figs.3 and 4).

Insert the new battery (the same model, CR2032 3V), 

in the direction shown in fig.5, and replace the front 

casing, making sure that the two small protruding 

plastic parts are correctly aligned (fig.6).

Re-insert the casing into the bracelet, making sure 

the protruding plastic parts slot into the correspon-

ding shape on the bracelet (fig. 7).

Once you have replaced the battery and opened the 

App, re-start the kid-U by shaking it (fig.7) until you 

hear an acoustic signal. 

When it is switched on again, the Kid-U will 

automatically be identified by the App, if it has 

already been linked up with it.

at the end of their useful life, they must be treated 

separately from household waste and must not be 

disposed of as urban waste. Therefore, they must be 

taken to a separate waste collection centre, or 

returned to the retailer upon purchase of equivalent 

new rechargeable or non-rechargeable batteries. If
