04 USING THE WHEELCHAIR

4.12 Foldable handle (optional)

For transport and a smaller package size, you can

optionally equip the wheelchair with foldable

handles.

Push the lever (1, Fig. 24).

The handle can now be folded backwards

(2, Fig. 24).

To fold it back up swivel the

handle back upwards (2, Fig 24). The pin

clicks in audibly.

WARNING

The wheelchair must not be carried by the han

dles.

4.13 Step tube (optional)

Remove the cover cap from the frame.

Slide the step tube into the frame (1, Fig.

25). The pin clicks in audibly (2, Fig. 25).

The step tube enables the attendant to tilt the

wheelchair and therefore move it over obstacles

more easily.

If an anti-tip wheel is fitted, first swivel it

inwards (Chapter 4.10).

Place your foot onto the lever (1, Fig.26)

and maintain balance using the handle.

A step or edge can now be easily passed

over with the wheelchair.
