TEST TUBE TYPES
VES-MATIC CUBE 30 is capable of analysing various types of test tube (Figure 4.2.1) in the same
cycle, however, there are limitations for rubber-capped test tubes that require the plate reducer in order
to be processed.
If rubber-capped test tubes are used, the
reducer disc must be fitted on the plate.
The disc must only be used for rubber-
capped test tubes (see paragraph 4.3).

Fitting the plate reducer
The reducer has been designed specifically for laboratories that need to process different types of test
tubes, among which rubber-capped, so that it can be very easily fitted/removed several times a day.
Step 1
Place the reducer on the plate in such a way that the 3
locking pins slip into the dedicated housings (Figure 4.3.2)
and that the groove in the pin head is horizontal with respect
to the plate numbering.
Step 2
Push the pin down and turn it 90 degrees.
Step 3
Repeat the operation for the other two pins.
Remember that the reducer disc is to be fitted only for use with rubber-capped test tubes
and must be removed for use with Vacutainer® (BD), Vacuette® and others test tubes.
