How to place the system in the appropriate mode to perform a particular task (for additional informa-

How to remove power from (power down) the system (refer to the appropriate system operating
guide, as well as independent network and software documentation, for this information).
•
How to access and utilize the appropriate diagnostics.
•
How to return the system to the appropriate mode for consumer operation (for additional information,
refer to the documentation for your system control software).

Recycling Cassette Currency Standards
This section describes media standards that you should be aware of when loading the recycling cas-
settes. The term currency is used to refer to any type of dispensable media.
NOTE
Although the Recycling Module is capable of handling a wide range of media, optimum
performance is related to media quality. Poor condition media will work, however care
must be taken to avoid folds, tears, holes and tape.
Avoid using media with the following characteristics (Figure 2-1):
•
Media joined by any means
•
Media with staples or pins
•
Media with sticky or adhesive substances
•
Media repaired with tape
•
Media with tears exceeding 13 mm (0.5 inch)
•
Media with holes or missing sections
•
Media that is excessively crumpled or crinkled
•
Media with a folded corner exceeding 13 mm (0.5 inch)
•
Media that is bowed more than 3 mm (0.12 inch) in any direction
•
Media that is deformed by prolonged storage
•
Media that is extremely limp
•
Media that is wet or extremely damp
