Selection of Menu Mode
The following options are available in the menu: Voice Activation (VOX Mode),
microphone sensitivity (MIC.Sens), play back speed (Play), chosing the directory
(Folder), formatting of storage card (Format.), choice of language, display of
firmware version, setting time (Set Time), setting date (Set Date) and setting to
default.
Press MENU/A-B button during standby mode to open the menu.
Hint: Press the REC/STOP or button to confirm the setting and to navigate
to the end of the menu. You can leave the menu and safe the settings at
any time by pressing MENU/A-B once more.
To leave the menu without saving the settings, press the FILE or DEL
button.
Voice Activation (VOX mode)
This mode is activated as factory default.
Press the
button while being in menu mode until “VOX
Mode“ is displayed. The current setting is marked by blinking.
Choose the mode required (ON or OFF) by using the jog-dial
switch. To confirm the setting press the REC/STOP or
button. When Voice Activation mode is activated, “VOX“ is
displayed on the display.
While the Voice Activation Mode (VOX) is activated the recording only takes place if
someone is actually dictating. If you stop dictating, the recordings stops after 1 ½
seconds. When you continue dictating the recording starts again. As a result you
