3.4 PCM Interface
The PCM interface specification is described as follows:

The number of ports depends on the product variant, which determines the type and number of SS7
Signaling Boards included. See Section 2.11, “Applicability” on page 14 for more information.

Data rate :
2048 kbit/s (E1) or 1544 kbit/s (T1) user configurable for each individual port.
•
Connector type :
RJ45.
•
Pulse shape :
ITU-T G.703, AT&T TR62411.
•
Frame Format :
E1, E1-CRC4, D4, ESF.
•
Line code :
HDB3, AMI (ZCS), AMI, B8ZS.
3.5 SS7 Serial Interfaces
The SS7 serial interface specification is described as follows:

Applies to SS7G21 with SPCI2S boards only. The number of serial ports depends on the product variant,
which determines the type and number of SS7 Signaling Boards included. See Section 2.11,

48 kbit/s, 56 kbit/s and 64 kbit/s or external clock operation.
•
Connector type :
26 way high-density D-type female connector, shared between the 2 ports on each relevant SS7
Signaling Board.

V.11 (V.35 compatible).

Tx Clock, Rx Clock, Tx Data, Rx Data.
•
Clocking :
Internal or external.
3.6 Ethernet Interfaces
The Ethernet™ interfaces are described as follows:

Four; two provided by the Server Board, two provided on a pre-installed network interface board.

RJ45.

Clocking :
10Base-T (10 Mbit/s), 100BaseTX (100 Mbit/s) and 1000Base-T (1 Gigabit/s), automatically detected
and switched.
