Dialogic SCbus Linecard Installation and Replacement

Installing Dialogic System Software—DNA 2, DNA 3.3, and SR5.01 

Use the following procedure to install Dialogic System Software DNA 2, DNA 3.3, or 
SR5.01. Because the installation procedure for all three releases is very similar, the 
following instructions describe the installation of SR5.01. Differences between older 
versions are noted when necessary. 

Note 

Prior to installing Dialogic SR5.01, you must remove any previous version of 

Dialogic System Software. Your platform must also be running the Windows NT 4.0 

operating system with Service Pack 6A. 

To install Dialogic System Software SR5.01: 

1.  Log on to Windows NT Server with an account that has Administrator privileges  

on the OneBox platform. 

2.  Insert the Dialogic System Software CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. 

Note 

If you are installing Dialogic software DNA 2 or DNA 3.3 on a OneBox 

platform running version 1.0 through 2.0, insert the OneBox program software CD-

ROM into the CD-ROM drive. The Dialogic Software is located in the Dialogic 

folder on this CD-ROM. 

3.  From the Start menu, select 

Run.

 

4. Click 

Browse

 to find file Setup.exe

 

on the Dialogic CD-ROM. 

5. Double-click 

Setup.exe

. 

6.  With the path to Setup.exe in the Run dialog box, click 

OK

 to start the  

setup wizard. 

7.  At the Welcome dialog box, note the cautions presented and click 

Next

. 

8.  At the Registration dialog box, fill in the 

Name

 and 

Company

  

boxes and click 

Next

. 

9.  At the Setup Options dialog box, click 

Custom

. 

10. From the Custom Components Selection list, select (check) 

only

 the box marked 

Drivers, Firmware, & Configuration Files

. 

Clear all other check boxes on the list

. 

When you are finished, click 

Next

. 

11. At the Destination Location dialog box, verify that the destination location is 

C:\Program Files\Dialogic, then click 

Next

.
