Maintenance
Precautions
When performing any inspection
or repair, the vehicle must be
protected against accidental injury or
damage to the vehicle. The following
are general precautions that must be
observed.
Warning
• Park the vehicle on a flat surface and
make sure that the parking brake is
used to prevent the vehicle from
moving.
● When replacing or repairing any
parts, make sure that the ignition
switch is in the "OFF" or "LOCK"
position.
● When the engine temperature is high,
do not operate under the hood. Turn
the engine off and wait until it cools
down.
● If it is necessary to operate the
engine during operation, be sure to
keep hands, clothing, hair and tools
away from running parts such as fans
and belts.
● Oil and other oils can cause
environmental damage if handled
incorrectly. Follow local regulations
on handling vehicle fluids.
