16 • OPERATION

SWINGING BOOM MODELS

Position the cutting disc beside the tree. Activate 
secondary hydraulic controls to swing the boom and disc 
into the tree. If the disc is angled to cut below ground 
level, slow the feed rate to compensate for the added 
friction of the dirt.

SWING CONTROL VALVE

The speed of the boom swing can be set with the control 
valve located in the front of the Turbo Saw near the 
boom hinge. With the Turbo Saw and skid loader off and 
all pressure released, loosed locknut and screw inner 
bolt in (upwards) or out (downwards). Turning the bolt in 
decreases the flow to the swing cylinder and slows down 
the swing speed.
