BIOS SETTINGS

SATA And RST Configuration

 

X

Advanced

SATA Controller(s)

This field is used to enable or disable the Serial ATA controller.

SATA Speed

This field is used to select SATA speed generation limit: Auto, Gen1, Gen2 or Gen3.

SATA Mode Selection

The mode selection determines how the SATA controller(s) operates.

AHCI

  This option allows the Serial ATA controller(s) to use AHCI (Advanced Host 

Controller Interface).

Intel RST Premium With Intel Optane System Acceleration 

This option allows you to 

create RAID or Intel Rapid Storage configuration along with Intel

®

 Optane

 system 

acceleration on Serial ATA devices.

Use RST Legacy OROM

This field shows up when SATA Mode Selection is set to Intel RST Premium With Intel Optane 

System Acceleration. 

Port and Hot Plug

Enable or disable the Serial ATA port and its hot plug function.
