IDE Primary Master/Slave UltraDMA and IDE Secondary Master/
Slave UltraDMA
These fields allow you to set the Ultra DMA in use. When Auto is
selected, the BIOS will select the best available option after checking
your hard drive or CD-ROM.

The BIOS will automatically detect the settings for
you.
Disabled
The BIOS will not detect these categories.
IDE DMA Transfer Access
The options are Enabled and Disabled.
IDE Burst Mode
When the IDE Burst Mode function is enabled, it will reduce the latency
time between each drive’s read and write cycle. To enable this function,
make sure the “Internal PCI/IDE” field is not set to Disabled.
IDE Prefetch Mode
This allows data and addresses to be stored in the internal buffer of
the chip, thus reducing access time. Enable this field to achieve better
performance.
