BIOS Setup

if you wish to boot from another device.
Security Option
This field determines when the system will prompt for the password
- everytime the system boots or only when you enter the BIOS
setup. Set the password in the Set Super visor/User Password
submenu.
System The system will not boot and access to Setup will be
denied unless the correct password is entered at the
prompt.
Setup The system will boot, but access to Setup will be denied
unless the correct password is entered at the prompt.
APIC Mode
Leave this field in its default setting.
HDD S.M.A.R.T. Capability
The system board supports SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and
Reporting Technology) hard drives. SMART is a reliability prediction
technology for ATA/IDE and SCSI drives. The drive will provide suffi-
cient notice to the system or user to backup data prior to the
drive’s failure. The default is Disabled. If you are using hard drives
that support S.M.A.R.T., set this field to Enabled. SMART is sup-
ported in ATA/33 or later hard drives.
Report No FDD For WIN 95
The options are Yes and No.
Delay for HDD (Secs)
This field is used to select the time that would delay the HDD
controller’s initial time. This is specially useful for some HDDs which
will not be ready at first boot when you power-on the system.
