Floppy Disk Drive Controller

The G486VPB system board has a built-in floppy disk
controller that supports two standard floppy disk drives.
You can install any 360KB/720KB/1.2MB/1.44MB
floppy disk drives (2.88MB optional).

Connecting the Floppy Disk Cable

The Floppy Disk Connector on the

G486VPB System Board

Step 1

Install the 34-pin header connector into the floppy disk
connector (J4) on the system board. The colored edge of
the ribbon should be aligned to pin 1 of the J4 connec-
tor.
