Installing the AHCI Driver During Windows Vista
Installation

The AHCI driver must be installed during Windows

Vista installation. This is re-

quired in order to install the operating system onto a hard drive when in AHCI
mode.

1. Start Windows Setup by

booting from the installa-
tion CD. Follow the steps
on the screen.

When the screen on the
right appears, click Custom
(advanced).

2. Select Load Driver.
