Installation Overview

Floppy Disk Drive Controller

The 586OP system board has a built-in floppy disk
controller that supports two standard floppy disk drives.
You can install any 360KB/720KB/1.2MB/1.44MB/
2.88MB floppy disk drives.

Connecting the Floppy Disk Cable

The Floppy Disk Connector on the

586OP System Board

Step 1

Install the 34-pin header connector into the floppy disk
connector (JP4) on the 586OP system board with the
colored edge of the ribbon aligned to pin 1.
