OPERATION
WARNING: Always observe the safety instructions and
applicable regulations.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn unit off and remove the battery pack
before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. An
accidental start‑up can cause injury.
Attaching and Adjusting the Shoulder
Strap (Fig. C, D)
WARNING: The shoulder strap should only be slung
over one shoulder and not across the body. See Fig C.
A shoulder strap 12 is recommended for any tool with a
total weight exceeding 13 lbs. (6 kg). (Total weight includes
the powerhead, attachment, and battery.) Attach the strap
to the tool as shown in Fig. C and adjust for proper balance
and support
1. Attach the strap mount 14 .
2. Snap the shoulder strap latch 13 onto the strap
mount 14 located on the unit, just in front of the ON/
OFF trigger as shown in Fig. C. Adjust the strap so it
fits over your shoulder and provides proper balance
and support.
Assembling the Blower Attachment to the
Powerhead (Fig. A, B)
1. The upper powerhead pole 5 is equipped with three
latching holes 6 , 7 , 8 for the latching button 9 .
2. When installing the blower attachment pole 4 into
the upper powerhead pole 5 and align the latching
button 9 with one of the three latching holes 6 , 7 , 8 .
nOTE:
To properly engage the latching button 9 with
the latching hole 6 , slightly rotate the powerhead
pole 5 and move it axially until the latching button
engages the desired latching hole.
3. Turn the knob 11 to secure the attachment.
4. When properly assembled, the latching button should
engage with one of the three latching holes. If it does
not, do not use, disassemble and re‑align the blower
attachment
4 so the latching button 9 engages with
one of the desired latching holes 6 , 7 , 8
WARNING: Always check to make sure that the
knob is completely secured in place. If the knob is not
completely secured it could result in the assemblies
becoming disconnected creating a hazardous
condition. Periodically check the connections to ensure
that the knobs are completely secured in place.
This should only be done with the power switch off and the
battery pack removed. Inside the upper powerhead pole

is a mechanical coupling that will spin if the powerhead is
turned on. This coupling can cause injury if contacted while
the powerhead is operating .
nOTE:
Ensure the attachment is fully engaged and the
knob is fully tightened before operating. Check for proper
engagement and tightness during use.

Your blower is designed such that the powerhead can
separate from the blower attachment by turning the
knob
11 counterclockwise, depressing the latching
button 9 and gently pulling them apart by their poles 4 , 5 .

CAUTION: When not in use, place tool on its
side on a stable surface where it will not cause a
tripping or falling hazard. Some tools with a large
battery pack will stand upright but may be easily
knocked over.

in moving parts.
