• Extreme temperature changes cause movement
of internal parts that may affect the accuracy of
the tool. Regularly check the accuracy while
using the tool under these circumstances.
Switching on and off (fig. A)
• To switch the tool on, press the on/off switch (1).
• To switch the tool off, press the on/off switch (1)
again.
Transferring a position mark
The tool produces three laser dots, both in horizontal
and in vertical direction, to transfer a mark.
• Use one beam to locate the mark and transfer
the mark using the other laser beams.
Using the tool as a spirit level (fig. E)
The tool can also be used as a spirit level both for
vertical and horizontal level measurement.
• For vertical levelling, place the tool in upright
position against the object to be levelled.
• For horizontal levelling, place the tool on the
object to be levelled.
• Read the air levels (5) to check whether the
object is level.

WALT power tool has been designed to
operate over a long period of time with a minimum
of maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation
depends upon proper tool care and regular cleaning.
Field calibration check (fig. F - H)
The field calibration check must be performed
securely and accurately to make a correct diagnosis.
Whenever an error is registered, have the tool
serviced by a qualified repair agent.
The conditions of the area are indicative
of the results presented. If the practice
differs from these conditions,
the measurements have to be adjusted
accordingly.
Plumb check (fig. F)
• Place the tool on the floor in an area parallel to
a horizontal surface of at least 8 m height.
• Mark a marking on the floor.
• Level the tool as required.
• Switch on the tool.
• Align the up laser beam with the floor marking.
• Mark the centre of the laser dot on the ceiling.
• Switch off the tool and rotate it 180°.
• Switch on the tool, align the laser beam with the
floor marking, level the tool and once again mark
the centre of the laser dot on the ceiling.
Switch off the tool.
• Measure the difference between the markings.
• If the difference between the markings is 6.5 mm
or less, the tool is properly calibrated.
• If the difference between the markings is more
than 6.5 mm, the tool must be serviced.
Level check (fig. G1 & G2)
• Place the tool in an area between two vertical
surfaces that are at least 7 m apart. Position the
tool so that it is aimed front-to-back towards the
vertical surfaces.
• Place the tool at approximately 8 cm from the
wall as measured from the front of the tool.
Level the tool as required. Mark the centre of the
up laser aperture (13) on the floor.
• Switch on the tool.
• Mark the centre of the front laser dot (14) on the
wall.
• Switch off the tool and rotate it 180°. Align the up
laser aperture with the floor marking (13).
Level the tool as required.
• Switch on the tool. Mark the centre of the front
laser dot (15) on the opposite wall. Switch off the
tool.
• Move the tool in a straight line to the opposite wall.
• Place the tool at approximately 8 cm from the
opposite wall as measured from the front of the
tool. Level the tool as required. Mark the centre
of the up laser aperture (16) on the floor.
• Switch on the tool. Align the front laser beam
with the wall marking (15).
• Switch off the tool and rotate it 180°. Align the up
laser aperture with the floor marking (16).
Level the tool as required.
• Switch on the tool. Mark the centre of the front
laser dot (17) on the first wall. Switch off the tool.
