Troubleshooting Guide

WHAT TO DO

Saw will not start

1. Battery or power supply not installed

1. Install battery or power supply. Refer to

Installing and Removing the Battery Packs

WALT Corded Power Supply.

2. Battery or power supply not fully inserted 2. Check that battery or power supply are fully latched. Check AC adapter plug in the motor housing

for debris. Refer to

WALT Corded Power Supply Cleaning Instructions.

3. Batteries not charged

3. Charge batteries. Refer to

Charging Procedure.

4. Power supply not plugged in

4. Plug in saw.

5. Cord damaged

5. Have cord replaced by authorized service center.

6. Fuse blown or breaker tripped

6. Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker.

7. Saw overheated

7. Wait several minutes for saw to cool.

8. Batteries overheated

8. Wait several minutes for batteries to cool.

Saw makes

unsatisfactory cuts

1. Dull blade

1. Replace blade. Refer to

2. Blade mounted backwards

2. Turn blade around. Refer to

3. Gum or pitch on blade

3. Remove blade and clean with turpentine and coarse steel wool or household oven cleaner.

4. Incorrect blade for work being done

Blade does not come up

to speed

1. Extension cord too light or too long

1. Replace with adequate size cord. Refer to

work bench

1. Tighten all mounting hardware. Refer to

Does not make accurate

miter cuts
