By pressing the Edit button once, the Transpose function is activated. While this mode has a
similar function to Octave, it shifts the pitch of the keyboard by half an octave. Press the Edit
button once more and the LED will start to blink, indicating that the Multi-Functional mode
has been activated. The keyboard can now serve a secondary function by accessing and/or
adjusting certain settings.
In Octave mode, the octave can be shifted by max. -3 or max. +3. The Transpose function
can be shifted by max. -12 or max. +12.
4. Connections
The EZ-Creator Key XL comes with the all of the connections required for controlling
hardware as well as software.
This starts with the fitted analogue 5-pin DIN port, so that this keyboard can be used as a
standalone device, as a secondary keyboard for a workstation, or as the controlling
keyboard for a synthesizer.
A socket to which a pedal can be connected has also been included. A simple sustain pedal
can be connected to this socket using a 6.35mm TS jack plug.
A USB-B port has also been included. This doubles as a power input as well as the MIDI
data output to a computer or laptop. The EZ-Creator Key XL can be powered via USB while
sending MIDI data via the 5-pin DIN port, making the device as versatile as possible.
