5.3 Use of controls and accessories

Air adjustment lever
(Fig. 5g, 5h, 5i)
:
. burning adjustment, i.e. slow burning position, intermediate burning or normal burning, is
obtained by moving the lever using the poker,
. the lighting position (A) is obtained by moving the lever by hand : this position must only be
used when the appliance is “cold” and by performing the following :

: push the air adjustment lever knob to the end point matching the LIGHTING
(A) position

: lift the unlocking index located on the left of the air adjustment lever

: maintain the index in the high position with the left hand and push the control
knob left with the right hand : you are in the lighting position (A)

5.4 Using the appliance
5.4.1 Lighting the stove

Set the air adjustment lever to position A.

Screw up some paper and place it on the grate along with some very dry kindling with
some bigger split wood on top (diameter 3 to 5 cm).

Light the paper and close the door (or leave it slightly ajar so as to get the fire burning
more quickly).

When the kindling is alight, open the door and put in the wood recommended above. Use
the controls to obtain the desired rate of combustion.
