Call Charge Factor / Setting the PIN
The corresponding call charge
counter is then deleted.
Setting the Call Charge
Factor
Your OpenPhone 52 stores the con-
nection charges incurred for the ter-
minal. It also receives details from
the network about the call charge
units incurred.* The following pro-
gramming is used to set the cost of
a unit:
Press the
Menu
softkey.
Using the arrow keys, call the
Trminal
function up on the dis-
play and then press the correspon-
ding softkey.
Select the
Charge
softkey.
Enter your PIN if required. Press the
Factor
softkey for the call charge
factor.
Enter the amount per unit to be
used for conversion and press the
OK
softkey. If you delete the call
charge factor with the
≤
arrow key
(left), the units are displayed.

Some network operators make a charge for
transmitting call charge information, which is an
additional service..
The call charge factor is a currency
amount you must enter (in euros
and cents). The decimal point is
entered using the
‘
key. A maxi-
mum amount of 600.00 can be
entered.
Setting the PIN
Some settings on your terminal are
protected by a PIN (personal identi-
fication number), providing you
have set up a PIN using the proce-
dure below.
Press the
Menu
softkey.
Using the arrow keys, call up the
Trminal
function on the display
and then press the corresponding
softkey.
Select the
NewPIN
softkey.
First enter the
old PIN
, then the
new
PIN
.
Confirm the entry by re-entering
the
new PIN
, which is then saved.
The PIN always consists of four dig-
its. When entering a PIN you do not
have to confirm it with the
OK
or a
similar softkey. When the fourth
digit is entered your OpenPhone 52
automatically adopts the PIN. If the
newly entered PIN and the confir-
mation of the new PIN do not
match you will see an error mes-
sage. In this case the old PIN

Using the arrow keys, call the
Trminal
function up on the dis-
play and then press the correspon-
ding softkey.
Select the
Melody
softkey.
Use the arrow keys to select the
MSN for which you want to carry
out settings and then press the
OK
softkey.
Now set how this MSN should be
signalled.
The arrow keys adjust the volume.
The digits
≠
..

and the
±
and
‘
keys adjust the ring tone.
Save your settings using the
OK
softkey.
While carrying out the settings you
hear the ringer as a control.
If an MSN is programmed
(assigned), but should not ring (e.g.
an MSN which is reserved solely for
faxes), just set the volume to
nought; even if the ringer is deacti-
vated you can still make calls using
this MSN.
Terminal Functions
Deleting the Call Charge
Counter
Your terminal saves all of the call
charge information it receives from
the ISDN. The call charges are held
on four counters:
one for each MSN (where pro-
grammed) and one "unknown"
counter, which is used if you have
not programmed a MSN. Each of
these counters can be deleted inde-
pendently.
The total call charges incurred are
calculated from the individual coun-
ters and can be viewed with the
Total:
softkey.
If you change from unit counting to
call charge display you must delete
the call charge counter.
Press the
Menu
softkey.
Use the arrow keys to select the Ter-
minal Functions menu and then
press the
Trminal
softkey.
Select the
Charge
softkey.
Now enter your PIN (if one has been
programmed). Press the
Delete
softkey.
Now use the arrow keys

to
select the counter you want to
delete and press the
Delete
soft-
key again.
