INSTALLING LOGS
WARNING: Failure to posi-
tion the parts in accordance
with these diagrams or failure
to use only parts specifically
approved with this heater may
result in property damage or
personal injury.
CAUTION: After installa-
tion and periodically thereafter,
check to ensure that no flame
comes in contact with any log.
With the heater set to High, check
to see if flames contact any log. If
so, reposition logs according to
the log installation instructions
in this manual. Flames contact-
ing logs will create soot.
It is very important to install these logs exactly
as instructed. Do not modify logs. Only use
logs supplied with heater.
1. Place main log assembly (#1) onto base.
Cutout on front right will fit over burner
(see Figure 18). Holes in bottom of log
must seat over pins on base as shown
in Figure 18. Make sure back of log as-

There are 2 small notches on front of log
that fit onto front tabs and 2 small notches
on back that fit over back tabs.
2. Place front log onto grate. Log is notched
to sit over grate (see Figure 19).
3. Place crossover log onto recesses on
main log and front log (see Figure 20).
Note: Nontextured end of crossover log
faces back of firebox and will not be seen
from front of log set.
4. Add lava rock around base of heater if
desired. Do not place any lava rock on
logs or burner.
