For disassembly proceed in the sequence described below:
1. Disconnect screwdriver from air supply.
2. Unscrew cylinder head screw 800486 from the guide bolt (internal hex.
AF 6, right-hand thread) and pull off reduction gear 388649 A.
3. Remove slide connector 827785 (AF 8, right-hand thread), unscrew hex.
nut 826715 and remove the guide bolt.
4. Unscrew clutch bearing 386437 B complete (AF 24, left-hand thread).
5. Take out clutch 395750 A / B / C complete.
6. Clamp screwdriver spindle on its flange into a vice and unscrew sleeve
384494 (AF 24, right-hand thread).
7. Unscrew nipple 3236293 complete with air connection 388954 A (AF 13).
8. Clamp screwdriver spindle on its motor housing by means of chucking
jaws 462048 into a vice or hold the motor housing by means of spanner
AF 24 and unscrew valve housing 384469 by means of pin wrench
462122 (right-hand thread).
9. Take out valve set 386359 B.
10. Push the motor- and gearing parts carefully out of the motor housing to-
wards air inlet side (using a suitable arbor).
a. Clamp rotor cylinder into chucking jaws.
b. Pull of shaft-side bearing cover from rotor.
c. Remove rotor cylinder.
NOTE
Exchange only complete sets of vanes.
d. Remove vanes and check them thoroughly. Vanes that are too narrow
or damaged have to be replaced in sets .
e. Pull of air connecting-side bearing cover from rotor.
f. Press the two ball bearings from the bearing covers.
NOTE
Minimum vanes width should be 5 mm.
Assembly:
Use the DEPRAG Grease 807293 (100-g tube) to grease the
ball bearing, needle bearing and gearing parts prior to
reassembly.
