high number of bits and high sampling rates of next generation
media.
HDCD is an encoding/decoding technology which greatly reduces
distortion that occurs during digital recording while offering
compatibility with the conventional CD format.
The DCM-5000 is equipped with an HDCD decoder that
automatically identifies whether the CD is a conventional disc or an
HDCD disc and conducts digital signal processing accordingly.
