Replacing the dust bag
To change the dust bag, press the dust bag compartment
opening button (
P
) and lift the cover (fig. 15). Remove the
dust bag support (fig. 16a), close the bag by pulling the
tab (fig. 16b), remove the bag and throw away. Insert the
new dust bag into the guides, following the direction of the
arrow (fig. 17a) and push as far as it will go.
Replace the dust bag support (fig. 17b) and close the
cover of the appliance by exerting light pressure. The hose
coupling automatically enters the hole in the dust bag.
You should change the dust bag frequently when vacuu-
ming up very fine dirt such as flour, talcum powder, etc.
NB:
The appliance has a safety device which prevents the dust
bag compartment cover being closed when there is no dust
bag in place.
Never use the appliance without the dust bag.
This could damage operation of the appliance.
CLEANING
Dust bag full indicator (fig. 14)
The dust bag full indicator (
O
) indicates when the dust bag
needs changing or the vacuum hose is blocked. You
should change the bag before the full length of the indica-
tor turns red to guarantee optimum hygiene and the quality
of the air emitted into the environment.

Motor protection filter (fig. 18)
To extend the working life of the appliance and protect the
motor, it is vital to keep the motor protection filter clean.
To access the filter, open the dust bag compartment,
extract the dust bag and remove the filter holder (fig. 17).
Then remove the filter from the filter holder.
If the filter is not excessively dirty, simply remove the dust. If
particularly clogged, it must be washed and dried. Make
sure the filter is completely dry before putting back in the fil-
ter holder, then in the appliance.
