Example
In the following example, the counters for interface g11 are cleared.
set interface active
The set interface active Privileged EXEC mode command reactivates an interface that was
suspended by the system.
Syntax
set interface active
{
ethernet interface
|
port-channel port-channel-number
}
• interface — Valid Ethernet port.
• port-channel-number — Valid port-channel index.
Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.

User Guidelines
• This command is used to activate interfaces that were configured to be active, but were
shutdown for some reason, for example port security .
Example
The following example activates interface g15, which is disabled.
show interfaces configuration
The show interfaces configuration Privileged EXEC mode command displays the configuration for
all configured interfaces.
console> clear counters ethernet g11
console# set interface active ethernet g15
