CHAPTER 10: AIR VENTS
Replacing the Air Vents
Follow the instructions in “Before You Begin” on page 1. 6 .
Replace the air vents on the computer base. 2.
Replace the two screws that secure the air vents to the bottom of the 3.
computer.
Turn the computer over and replace the four screws that secure the air 4.
vents to the computer base.
Replace the center control cover (see “Replacing the Center Control Cover” 5.
on page 31 ).
Replace the memory module(s) (see “Replacing the Memory Module(s)” on 6.
page 2 3 ).
Replace the hard drive (see “Replacing the Hard Drive” on page 7. 18 ).
Replace the compartment door (see “Replacing the Compartment Door” on 8.
page 14 ).
Replace the battery pack (see “Replacing the Battery Pack” on page 9. 11 ).
CAUTION: Before turning on the computer, replace all screws and
ensure that no stray screws remain inside the computer. Failure to do
so may result in damage to the computer.
Turn the computer over and remove the two screws from the bottom of the 8.
computer.
Pull the air vents out of the computer. 9.
