4.1.4.5 F/W Upgrade

• USB and Network port are used to F/W upgrade.

• Network applications (EWS) can be used for network port upgrade.

• Notice : In special mode upgrade, kernel waste header information for Dell 2145cn.

You have to check F/W ROM ﬁle with MFP set
(This mode is ONLY service mode, not user mode)

1) Using button

• F/W Upgrade using USB Port

- Make sure connecting Printer to the computer

with a USB cable

- Upgrade in Ready mode
► Send ROM image ﬁle via USB cable in

Ready mode

- Upgrade in Special mode
► Power ON with pressing ‘STOP key’ two times
► Change LCD message ‘Wait Image’
► Send ROM image ﬁle via USB cable
