Removing a rear drive cage
The procedure for removing 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch rear drive cages is identical.

Remove all the drives.

Disconnect all the cables from the rear drive backplane.

Remove the rear drive backplane.
Steps

Using Phillips #2 screwdriver, loosen the screws that secure the drive cage to the system.

Hold the drive cage by its sides, and lift it away from the system.
