TROUBLE SHOOTING

Fault & Cause

Remedy

Charger gets hot, makes noise or starts to smoke.
CAUSE
• 

The charger is damaged and should not be used.

• 

Unplug the charger immediately and replace it with 

 

a new charger

Tool will not cycle, the indicator LED is green and the fan runs
• 

Fuel cell is empty

• 

Spark wire is loose or dirty.

• 

Replace with a new fuel cell.

• 

Return to authorised service agent or manufacturer 

 

for repairs.

Work contact element is not fully depressed and the tool 
cannot be used.
• 

The work contact element is bent or the track of the 

 

safety mechanism is sticky, caused by dirt build up.

• 

Clean the safety track.

• 

If above does not work, return to authorised service 

 

agent or manufacturer for repairs.

Tool operates normally, but no fastener is driven.
• 

Wrong type of fasteners were used.

• 

Fastener is jammed

• 

The pusher did not engage 

 

properly with the nail strip.

• 

The cylinder needs cleaning.

• 

Change to correct fastener specification.

• 

Clear the jammed nail before use.

• 

Adjust to full engagement.

• 

Return to authorised service agent or manufacturer 

 

for repairs.

Combustion chamber is not returning to start position.
• 

The work contact element is bent or dirty.

• 

Clean the safety track.

• 

Check the work contact element and have it  

 

 repaired 
 

or replaced by authorised service agent or 

 manufacturer.

Driver did not return to initial position, high misfire frequency.
• 

Issue with fuel cell.

• 

Tool is dirty.

• 

The tool may be over heated.

• 

Check and replace fuel cell.

• 

Clean the tool with proper cleaning fluid.

• 

Return to authorised service agent or manufacturer 

 

for repairs.

Tool appears to be losing power.
• 

Issue with fuel cell.

• 

The tool may be over heated.

• 

Check fuel cell.

• 

Return to authorised service agent or manufacturer 

 

for repairs.

For failures other than above situation, please stop using the tool and contact authorised service agent or manufacturer.
