5.2 Using the voltage detector in an installation
After performing a functional test, the green light "0" illuminates indicating that the device is
ready for testing. The voltage detector can only make contact with
PHEG1... (earthed negative pole) :
the earth clamp with black handle (page 5) at the earthed negative pole and the red test elec-
trode or at the positive pole ... or
PHEG1... (earthed positive pole) :
the earth clamp with black handle (page 5) at the earthed positive pole and with the blue test
electrode or at the negative pole... or
PHEG2...
the blue test electrode (page 5) at the negative pole and with the red test electrode at the
positive pole of the part of the system to be tested.
Note:
With voltage detectors type PHEG1... the earth clamps must always be connected
before the test electrodes. Disconnection in reverse order.
